      • Draft revisions of Bylaws and SOP’s
      • Copy of the 2012 Regional Conference Minutes
      • National Constitution & Bylaws updates based on the 2012 Boule Grand Chapter Action
      • Government issued, photo ID for registration and securing your voting card.
      • Enough Royal blue and gold. Business attire for all plenary sessions and The Annie Neville Luncheon. Semi-formal and formal  attire for the awards is semi-formal and formal attire.
      • Uninterrupted white from head to toe, including shoes and stockings with limited jewelry.

    Transportation

    To get from Boston Logan Airport or South Station train/bus depot, contact Day and Knight Transportation. They will provide shuttle service for sorors at $14.50 one-way and $28 round trip. This price includes 20% gratuity. To secure the discount, sorors should mention Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. when making their reservation prior to arrival. Those arriving at South Station must have a cell phone service to coordinate with the driver as there are limited parking spaces at this location.     Conference Registration

    Get ready to attend the 71st Northeastern Regional Conference on April 25-28, 2013. Get your blue and gold, pack your bags, and buy your travel tickets. But, first register for the conference. Register online or download a registration form. Regular registration from Feb. 1-16. Alumnae and undergraduate packages are $300. Alumnae and unergraduate registration only is $200.     Golden Mic Night Presents "Comedy on the Charles"

    This spring, Golden Mic Night will present its first all-comedy lineup, which was created exclusively for the 71st Northeastern Regional Conference. Featured performers include  Comedian Soror Leighann Lord, New York native Wil Sylvince and Boston’s funniest local comedians. Music will be provided by DJ Philly Black of Boston’s hit radio station, Big City 103.1 FM. Advanced Tickets available at $15. 

     

    All-Team Step Show and Exhibition

    Friday, April 26, 8 p.m.- midnight

    Calling all Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. step teams from the Northeastern Region! Compete for bragging rights and a $500 cash prize. National Pan Hellenic Council fraternities will also compete for cash prizes and trophies. The show is open to undergraduate, alumni, and mixed teams. Application and registration fee required. Early bird registration ends March 1 and cost $75. The show is free to all registered conference participants. General public tickets cost $15, and include entrance to  after-show mixers.     Friday, April 26, 9 p.m. - 1 a.m.

    After the show... it’s the after party! Join the Massachusetts alumnae chapters, Zeta Nu Sigma, Lambda Beta Sigma and Lambda Kappa Sigma, and our undergraduate chapters, Mu Kappa, Sigma Kappa, and Sigma Xi, as we host concurrent mixers to cap off a night of entertainment and fun. Doors open at 9 p.m.


     Public Service

    Public Meeting

    Thursday, April 25, 6 - 8 p.m.

    The conference officially kicks off with the public meeting when Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc.  honors local partners: uAspire, YMCA Achievers, Inner City Weightlifting, Louis D. Brown Peace Institute, AIDS Action Committee of Massachusetts and Strong Women, Strong Girls. We will also welcome the talents of local young artists. The meeting takes place at the historic Strand Theatre at 543 Columbia Road in Boston.  This free event is a call to action, highlighting Sigma’s contributions to the community and honoring others who are doing the work.

     

    Community Service, Baskets of Hope

    Friday, April 26, 7 - 9 a.m.

     On any given night in the Boston area, more than 7,000 people, including 3, 000 children, are homeless. Baskets of Hope is an effort to support to the mothers and children living in shelters at Ronald McDonald House, St. Mary’s Center for Women and Children, Casa Myrna, and Children Services of Roxbury. Zeta Nu Sigma is rallying the sorority's membership and the public to fulfill wish lists compiled via store registries. (Note: To access the Basket of Hope online registry, search using Soror Geraldine Vert's name.) On Friday morning, we invite you to fill baskets and write cards of encouragement for recipient families. Representatives from the benefitting shelters will be presented with the baskets and cards during Saturday’s awards banquet.

     

    Sigma Zumba Party for Babies

    Saturday, April 27, 7 - 8 a.m.  zumba

    Wake up and join the fitness party to help babies in need of care. The Sigma Zumba Party for Babies is an invigorating opportunity to get fit while supporting the March of Dimes March for Babies Boston, May 11, 2013. Open to all conference guests. Registration required in advance. A donation of $5 is requested to support the March for Babies Boston. Appropriate Zumba Party attire includes comfortable workout tops, bottoms, and sneakers/tennis shoes.
